CSRD, carbon footprint, CSR collection… Marvesting is accelerating its transition to a sustainable future!

At Marvesting, we are fully committed to meeting the new CSRD requirements and driving our sustainable transformation. Find out more about our concrete actions in terms of recycling, carbon footprint and CSR commitments. Together, we're building a more responsible and sustainable future.

At Marvesting, we are pursuing our commitments to sustainability, transparency and inclusion. From regulatory developments to concrete actions on the ground, we are structuring our CSR approach to make a real impact.

On the agenda: new CSRD obligations, collection and analysis of our CSR data, low-carbon transition, recycling and commitment to diversity. All initiatives that reinforce our social and environmental responsibility.

CSRD and Omnibus: a new era for CSR transparency

The Omnibus Act, which came into force on 26 February 2024, amends the CSRD to simplify certain non-financial reporting obligations.
At Marvesting, we anticipated these changes by launching our double materiality analysis (DMA) with the support of NSW Conseil. This approach enables us to prioritise the most significant CSR issues for our business, while meeting the expectations of our stakeholders.

Impact of the Omnibus text for Marvesting :

  • With over 2,500 employees, Marvesting remains committed to its CSR roadmap and continues to improve its sustainable practices.
  • Reduced scope: 40-60% reduction in disclosures, lightening the reporting burden.
  • Extended deadline: compliance extended to 2028, giving us more time to strengthen our actions.

Group CSR data collection: data for action

As every year, our HR, Finance, Fleets and IT teams are mobilised to gather the data essential to our CSR strategy. We have structured our CSR data collection with ZEI, consolidating more than 200 aggregated collection points from all our European subsidiaries with the aim of :

  • Track our CSR KPIs: measure our carbon footprint, our energy consumption and our social initiatives.
  • Monitor our CSR KPIs: measure our carbon footprint, our energy consumption and our social initiatives.
  • Strengthening our commitment and compliance: meeting regulatory requirements and the expectations of our stakeholders (customers, employees and suppliers).

A stronger commitment to our financial partners

Our CSR commitments are also integrated into our relations with investment funds via precise ESG covenants. Each year, we monitor four key indicators:

  • Reduction of our carbon intensity (tCO2eq/M€ of sales) with a target of continuous reduction.
  • Improving well-being at work, measured by the rate of employee participation and satisfaction in the annual survey.
  • Maintaining a high EcoVadis rating, with a minimum target of 70
  • Strengthening of gender equality, monitored through the professional equality index.

Renewing our carbon footprint: structuring our low-carbon transition

The data collected enables us to accurately measure our carbon footprint and identify the levers for action to reduce our emissions. With this in mind, we are renewing our carbon assessment in 2025, with SAMI, to structure our low-carbon transition.

This new analysis covers :

  • Our direct and indirect emissions (premises, digital, purchasing, travel)
  • Identifying the levers for action to accelerate our transition
  • Putting in place concrete initiatives to promote more sustainable growth.

Why renew our carbon footprint?

  • To measure our progress: by comparing our data with that of 2023, we can monitor changes in our footprint and adjust our actions.
  • Strengthen our commitment to CSR: our customers and partners expect companies to take concrete action to protect the environment.
  • Defining new avenues for improvement: thanks to SAMI’s recommendations, we are optimising our emissions reduction strategy and integrating sustainable solutions into our activities.

Data collection for all our subsidiaries was completed at the end of March. We will soon be sharing the results and the next steps in our low-carbon transition!

Recycling: concrete results with ELISE

Since 2019, our partnership in France with ELISE, has enabled us to optimise our waste management.

In 2024, we collected and recycled more than 4 tonnes of waste on our sites, including :

  • 667 kg of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), the equivalent of a round trip between Paris and New York.
  • 339 kg of paper, i.e. 40 200-litre baths.
  • 12 kg of cans 15954 hours of use of a 20 W eco lamp.

We have chosen to work with ELISE to give a second life to our waste while promoting employment for people with disabilities.

Concrete actions to promote diversity

Diversity and inclusion are an integral part of our CSR approach, and we are proud to renew our signature to the Diversity Charter. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to promoting an inclusive and egalitarian working environment.

Major initiatives in the first half of the year:

  • A series of webinars on diversity in the workplace, accessible to all our employees.
  • Our participation in the Course des Héros, a solidarity event to support committed causes.
