“The Store Becomes a Media Channel”: A Look Back at Marvesting’s London Press Tour

Discover the highlights of Marvesting’s London Press Tour, where journalists explored innovative retail concepts, immersive customer experiences and the future of physical stores through our Beyond the Store vision.

How can we rethink the role of physical stores at a time when shopping journeys are becoming increasingly diverse and consumer expectations continue to evolve? On 18 September 2026, Marvesting, together with its PR agency Hopscotch, invited a group of French and British journalists to London for an immersive day exploring new retail experiences.

Joined by Jean-Dominique Castellani, Group CEO, and teams from its UK subsidiary Stellar Global, the journalists discovered several initiatives bringing Marvesting’s Beyond the Store vision to life: moving beyond the traditional role of physical stores to create experiences that extend the relationship between brands and consumers before, during and after their visit.

From Harrods to World, via Home Ground: Exploring the Next Generation of Retail Experiences

The press tour featured three visits showcasing how physical spaces are evolving into destinations for experiences, expert advice, innovation and engagement.

Harrods: Human Expertise at the Heart of the Premium Experience

The first stop was Harrods, London’s iconic department store, where journalists discovered several retail initiatives developed for Sage, Therabody and Oura.

In this premium environment, in-store teams play a key role in the customer experience, combining product demonstrations, expert advice and personalised support. A clear illustration of the value of human expertise at a time when consumers are increasingly informed and connected.

Home Ground: When the Store Becomes a Media Channel

Another highlight was an exclusive preview of Home Ground, the new Breville | Sage space on Charlotte Street in London, developed and operated in partnership with Stellar Global.

Open to the public since 5 October 2026, this innovative concept brings together a showroom, product demonstrations, training, content creation and digital commerce under one roof. Video consultations, live streaming and events enable the brand to engage with consumers far beyond their physical visit.

Building on 13 years of collaboration between Breville | Sage and Stellar Global, Home Ground embodies a new approach to retail: a space designed to deliver experiences, create content and maintain ongoing relationships with consumers.

World: Putting Human Interaction at the Heart of AI Innovation

The final stop was World, on Tottenham Court Road, a space dedicated to introducing a network that enables individuals to prove they are real humans in a digital environment increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.

Journalists had the opportunity to discover the experience, supported on the ground by Stellar Global teams, who help make this technology accessible and easy to understand for the general public.

An illustration of the essential role human interaction plays in building trust and encouraging the adoption of emerging technologies.

A Press Tour That Resonates Across Specialist Media

Beyond the visits, the day provided an opportunity for journalists to exchange views with Jean-Dominique Castellani and Emma Ede, CEO of Stellar Global, on the transformation of physical retail and emerging customer experience models.

These discussions were reflected in coverage from two specialist publications:

LSA, in an article by Julie Delvallée, explored Home Ground and the evolving role of the store as a media channel, combining customer experience, content creation and digital commerce.

NEOMAG, in an article by Éric Shorjian, highlighted the new concept developed for Breville | Sage and how it brings together physical experiences and new digital services.

Both articles help showcase the expertise of Marvesting and Stellar Global while contributing to the wider conversation about the future of retail.

Beyond the Store: Bringing a Vision to Life

From human expertise at Harrods to the omnichannel experience at Home Ground and technology-driven customer engagement at World, this press tour provided tangible examples of Marvesting’s Beyond the Store vision in action.

A belief shared across Marvesting and its European subsidiaries: the store of tomorrow will no longer be simply a place to buy products, but a space for experiences and interactions, connecting brands with consumers far beyond its physical walls.
